N.I.C.E. is a brand new socially driven organization with a mission to over serve the Northwest Arkansas community. We’re focused on helping to grow and develop locally owned and operated small businesses, nonprofits, and other community-serving organizations. We exist as a collaborative compliment to the outstanding resources already present in the area, and we aim to ensure that our local organizations receive tons of support from their fellow residents.
Our grand opening event took place on April 7, 2017 at Mermaids Seafood Restaurant. Needless to say, it was a lot of fun. We got a lot of positive support from our family, friends, colleagues, and somehow we even talked our biggest role models into coming out to the event. Our guests were very pleased with the venue and food so thanks goes out to the restaurant for providing exceptional quality and service. Also, we were gifted with a delicious cake from Chuck’s Cake Shoppe as well.
The event kicked off at noon, and it was our first time getting to address a large audience as hosts. Although we weren’t nervous, it was definitely a huge learning curve involved in the process. We first heard from Michael Iseman, a business consultant at Startup Junkie Consulting, followed by Eric Jones – the owner of “Like Father, Like Son” – a business that offers unique dress shoes and loafers for both men and boys.
Lastly, Brandon Watts closed out the guest presentations with an inside look into his business: B. Watts Photography. He is the one to thank, by the way, for the excellent photographs shown in this post. Our lunch events serve as an opportunity for local small business owners, nonprofits, and organizations to bring awareness to their unique businesses and causes. We hope to have an increasing audience as we continually promote these local gems each month. Thanks for reading.
